The table below contains information regarding multistate amicus curiae briefs filed by AGs in lower courts. The main period of coverage is 2017 to the present, though some earlier briefs are available as well. Note that this dataset includes only lower court amicus briefs; the U.S. Supreme Court Multistate Amicus Brief Database is available here.
The dataset is organized by case, meaning that multiple AG briefs filed in the same case appear in the same entry. Clicking on each entry will provide additional information about each case, including a link to a PDF of the amicus brief(s) filed in the case. For completed cases, you can access the final court decision in the case by clicking the case citation.
The table is fully searchable using the search bar below. Entering any search terms will automatically filter case descriptions containing only those terms. You can also use the filters below to search for cases involving certain states, issue areas, or conflicts involved.
